Kheengz, is a talented Nigerian rapper and actor who's making waves in the African music scene. Born King Bawa on July 8, 1992, Kheengz truly stands out as an innovator, introducing a fresh perspective and a distinctive flow to the industry. Kheengz, born in Zaria, Kaduna, and raised in Bida, Niger, belongs to the Kadara ethnic group. He is the third of six children and successfully balanced his academic pursuits with his love for music. Kheengz obtained a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the esteemed Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, highlighting his academic excellence and musical passion. Kheengz, who hails from Northern Nigeria, is deeply passionate about challenging stereotypes and advocating for his region through his music. I find inspiration in his unwavering dedication to his craft and his commitment to using his platform for positive impact. Kheengz's love for rap began in secondary school around 2006. By 2010, while attending university, he took his passion to the next level, venturing into recording. His early influences included Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie and Nigerian superstars Ice Prince Zamani and MI Abaga. Kheengz honed his craft by creating covers and freestyles of their hit songs, garnering recognition within the industry. Kheengz's debut project, the College Kid Mixtape, was released on August 30, 2013. This mixtape marked a significant milestone, featuring established rappers like M.I Abaga, Erigga, Snowflake, Soul Flavour, and G'rell. The project's lead single, "Jealousy," resonated with audiences, solidifying Kheengz's presence. He further captured hearts with a video titled "I Believe," dedicated to students tragically kill€d in the College of Agriculture, Yobe State. On 26 December 2020, Kheengz teamed up with other northern rappers DJ AB, Deezell and Boc Madaki on a joint EP The Four Horsemen, containing four tracks.
